Let Them and Vacation Inspiration

I celebrated my 50th birthday with my best friend and partner, Alex, in St. Lucia, and it was amazing!

I painted this while sitting on the beach near Soufriere, St. Lucia.

The Pitons are volcanic mountains that tower over the sea in St. Lucia. They are awe-inspiring, and there’s a good chance you will see them in my future art.

Here’s my Artomat series, “Leaves of Change” in process.

I made this piece for my birthday and love it so much that it’s now my phone wallpaper!

Mel Robbins' bestselling book "Let Them" has really been helping me out this year and in so many ways.

As I let go of trying to control everything around me and let THEM do what they want rather than spending all my energy on things I cannot change, I am also letting ME create MY art!

STOP now and watch this 1-minute Let Them video. I promise it will be life-changing.

Taking a step back from social media and going on a much-needed vacation to St.Lucia for my 50th birthday has given me more space to hear my own voice and feel my own spirit guiding me in life and in my art.

When we are quiet enough to hear ourselves think and out in the world with eyes wide open to seek and find inspiration, it's amazing what can happen!

Vacation Inspirations

Turning 50 always seemed so old and distant... until it didn't. And I must admit that it actually feels GREAT! I highly recommend middle age when you have done enough work to sincerely appreciate and know yourself and also be grateful for your life and where you are in it all.

To celebrate this amazing milestone, Alex and I went to St. Lucia, where we found lots of relaxation but also inspiration. I even found an art class with a local artist!

What's Coming Up

Since returning from vacation, I have been very busy with:

  • a few commission projects for some of my favorite collectors

  • preparing my first-ever Artomat series (if you're unfamiliar, you want to learn more!)

  • submitting applications for lots of local art showcase opportunities

  • experimenting in my art practice as I figure out what my next collection might be. Stay tuned...

Where To Find My Art

And hopefully, more as I apply for new shows!

Take care of yourself. I am so very grateful to each of you. Knowing we are all better together gives me hope for the future!

In love and light,
Michelle
